Weak leads

Have you seen any intros you really thought fell flat? Post URLs here.
Here's a regrettable one. (It's actually a horrible transition into a lead but nonetheless...)

This one didn't really make sense to me, most likely because I wasn't familiar with the quote. I guess I would say it was pretty weak.

Not only did this article open with a question, but it's initial answer was vague and left me frustratingly still questioning.

This one was a little too wordy and had to follow, but not terrible

This one wasn't so bad, but I figured that starting with some type of a cliche isn't too great of an idea. Plus I don't understand how it exactly ties in with the idea of the article.

This one was so boring. It never caught my attention and I never even bothered finishing it...

This article seemed like a little too much information crammed into one sentence. I got confused trying to follow it.

This article is really boring and technical. I didn't want to finish it after the first sentence!
